Coated with durable water repellent, the Pine Peak Down Parka keeps the chill out, while the 700 fill power Responsibly Sourced Down insulation keeps the warmth in. The Responsible Down Standard aims to ensure that down and feathers come from animals that have not been subjected to an unnecessary harm. Of all insulations, down will give you the greatest warmth for the least weight. Each ounce of high quality down has about 2 million fluffy filaments that interlock and overlap to form a protective layer of still air that keeps warmth in and cold out. Speaking of warmth, we’ve included a 3- panel hood for added protection from the elements. There is no shortage of pockets with this piece including double-entry hand pockets, side entry hand pockets with quick-dry fleece lining, two chest pockets with zipper closure and one interior chest pocket with snap closure. "I purchased the Pine Peak Down Parka Classic fit on the clearance sale. I normally take small. But this is SMALl. No room for layering. Tight in the back and shoulders. Even the arms are tight. I can't return it, due to being a clearance item. But I don't want to spend more to buy a medium. It's good looking. Seems well made. But I can't wear it."
